We aim to create distinctive, dependable outdoor apparel. So far, so good. After almost 10 years, we’re happy to say our namesake Cleverhood rain capes are popular in cities around the world. We hear from a nice global array of neighborhoods.
Attention to Details
We’re a small team in Providence working with talented garment workers, textile suppliers and component makers. We strive to support local economic development (like Detroit’s Industrial Sewing and Innovation Center) and small suppliers. We’re conscious of the sustainable impact of materials. Our latest rainwear is PVC-free and some fabrics are from recycled materials. We’re learning and improving techniques. And designs.
We made a stylish bikeable rain cape because it didn’t exist. We needed it.
Our customers like walking, biking and rolling around the neighborhood — rain-or-shine. There’s a bright optimism there. Coincidentally or not, it’s usually reflected in their appreciation of the qualities that make their city, town or path a nice place. We’re big proponents of sustainable transportation and the big benefits of safe streets and open spaces. We meet a lot of people who make a strong case for the benefits of equitable mobility.
Feel free to reach out. We have a good community. We’re happy to share info and ideas with startups or apparel companies. Suggestions, questions and penetrating insights are always welcome. We’re here in the Ocean State at firstname.lastname@example.org
I received your cape a few weeks ago and, since we have been having a lot of rain recently in Saskatchewan (Canada), I have had ample opportunity to use your cape on my bicycle on my way to university. The cape works fantastically well! I do not have to worry about wet pants, legs, and shoes anymore, and my backpack fits under the hood and stays dry. This cape is awesome and my bicycle friends want one, too, now!Ulrich T.
