Join Our Health Club for ALL Your New Year's Resolutions
If you’ve resolved to get fitter this New Year, we have the perfect health club to recommend. In fact, if your resolutions include: trimming expenses, helping the environment, happiness or boosting your real-estate values, our fitness facility is good for you, too. Memberships are open with no recurring monthly fees.
This facility is conveniently located just outside your front door with satellite locations everywhere, if you’re traveling. Although our facility is global, it’s not to be confused with Planet Fitness, Work Out World or World Gym. You’ll find it has all the amenities in the world and suits a variety of styles. Our recommended activity is the universal experience of walking. It’s remarkably underrated.
Take a hike. You can do it anywhere and it’s always open. There are urban walks, suburban walks, woodsy walks and hybrids. Take note of your surroundings and you may realize you don’t need to drive somewhere to get started (please consult the Alliance for Biking & Walking if you’re experiencing difficulty). Our club offers group sessions and solitary contemplation. Equipment requirements include: shoes. Clothing is an optional consideration, based on style and weather conditions.
Hippocrates said “walking is man’s best medicine.” That’s an ancient endorsement that in current terms means savings of $2,500 per year. Just 30 minutes of walking five days a week will put money in your pocket. Hippocrates was a deep thinker but he didn’t imagine the advantages of walking in modern health care costs.
Maybe you’ve resolved to think smarter in 2017? Our health club offers that. Walking on a regular basis promotes new connections between brain cells. That’s a good benefit for all of us. When we go for a walk, the heart pumps faster, circulating more blood and oxygen not just to the muscles but everywhere—including the brain. Wouldn’t it be nice if we were all stimulating the growth of fresh neurons again?
Walking in our health club exposes you to nature. I hope you don’t mind bugs, leafy trees, rain, sunshine or dog poop. Beyond the exercise benefits, nature will further reduce stress and boost well-being. Studies suggest that spending time in green spaces—gardens, a local park, forests—can rejuvenate the mental resources that man-made environments deplete.
This health club boasts a nice membership list. Henry David Thoreau, author of Walking no less, wrote: “Methinks that the moment my legs begin to move, my thoughts begin to flow.” It’s been calculated that William Wordsworth—whose poetry is filled with stomping up mountains, through forests, and along public roads—walked as many as a 180,000 miles in his lifetime. Walt Whitman walked to get it all in. Walking in NYC, Whitman says, leaves him “enrich’d of soul, you give me forever faces.”
Please be sure you join our club. It can make all your New Year's resolutions come true -- or your money back!
